Kala'au hula sticks (Ka - to strike, la'au - wood)
A piece of coconut wood some 12 inches long and the center is about 5/8" thick then it narrows down to just under 1/2" on the ends.
The player or dancer produces a clicking sound when he or she taps the Kala'au Hula sticks sticks together.
